My dad has a 79 trans am, gold on gold, and a few years ago he installed a Sony Xplod system in it, 2 5-1/4's at the front and 2 6x9's in the rear.

the speakers i dont mind, there covered by grills.... the deck, sticks out terribly, the car is all 70's looking and the deck is silver, white lcd, and red buttons, like a spaceship in the car.

anyways, what im getting at is does anyone know of any decks that look more suiting? like maybe black, with white lights and nothing crazy? preferably from a reputable brand like a pioneer or alpine. and the car dosent have an amp, so the deck must be strong enough to drive the speakers, i doubt the speakers are even very powerful, just looking for a new deck,

also, it can be an older model, dont mind searching ebay and getting a used one, i just dont know of any to look for

^ A good option if you have a classic with twin post mounts. Sounds like that TA has been hacked to DIN already though.

I suggest you go into stores or cruise around online looking at decks until you find one you like. The silver deck craze is thankfully over now so many decks will blend in better.

 

^^true, a good black coloured face without all the fancy light show will work well. Maybe something like this kenwood which has variable colour display and is fairly simple would work.

Pioneer prs880. I have one and there is an option to turn the display off. It will only light up blue or white (your choice) when you adjust something.
