opinions on hifonics Brutus

I am looking at running either 1 10", 1 12", 2 10", or 2 12" subs in my truck is a hifonics brutus a good amp for this set up or would the alpine pdx 1.1000 be better ? Also do you think I should use two subs or power the crap out of one sub ?

Well your going to have to tell us what kind of woofers. The amps good be a good or bad choice depending. Also try to list the impedance (ohm) of the woofer and number of coils to get a proper answer.

A Hifonics amp as compared to a Alpine PDX, I just don't know what to say, personal opinion based on my years of doing this though, do you like a KIA or a Volvo.

Choose the subs first as was pointed out, then the amp to power them. What vehicle is this for, box space available etc., all that needs to be answered before you can just arbitrarily choose a amp, then hope for the best with the purchase.

I'm running a Hifonics BXi 2006D. I'm powering one 15" DD9515. The amp holds up great and is loud. I use the setup for street beating and have no idea as to the numbers I would hit or anything like that. The amp works great for my use and the remote bass **** is a nice touch. If I turn it up too loud, my voltage drops and the amp cuts out, but thats my electrical system not keeping up, not an amplifier issue.

i have a 2000 gmc sierra ext. cab 4*4 I am limited in subs because of space under rear seats. I don't have subs purchased yet was gonna get amp first. Don't have box yet cause I dont know if one sub or two would be better. Was originally thinking of two 10's but was told one 12" would be louder. If I put all amp power to one sub rather than 2. Hope this helps with suggestions.

Before you can choose a amp, you need to choose the sub(s). Before you choose the sub(s) you need to determine where they are going to go. The box is the primary factor in bass response. You can have the biggest amp in the world, with the bestest subs evar but screw up on the box and it's all over. So, where you do plan on putting the sub(s)?
