mmmmmmmm jelly donut

Hey all. New here oldin any other way. Anyone remember when 120db was as high as the meter read ? Or better yet, when 120db was considered Impossible to hit? Yeah, I'm older than that. When a Punch 45 ran the whole show and took trophies all day long. Been designing / building boxes forever. I don't understand all the "new" amplifier hype, but then again my ears ring 24/7 so a gm-h200 bridged on a single 12 still puts a smile on my face.

Just wanted to be polite and say Hi "HI"

Old skool is kool

I loved the GM-H amps but have to say the GM-H50 was my favourite of the bunch.

Welcome aboard.

MMmmmmmmm- I remember the day the Pioneer rep came in w/ the GM-H amps raving about them. I opened one up and said "yeah it looks OK, lets see what it can do" I wasn't impressed at first (we had the big Alpine too) As time went by, I managed to accumulate quite a few of them- I probably have a dozen stored in the shop - I'm always watching for another 200 to surface (still need 2 more to complete my 37 Plymouth) At any rate, I'll take old school any day.

looking for blown GM-H amps too, or the end caps - (I just need the cases) Kewl, Dave

I came >this< close to buying the Pioneer Z-34 demo car back then with the GM-H amps and sealed bandpass with two iso pair of 10s but it never worked out.

I never owned any GM-H amps but put in quite a few. I was a Rockford guy then so I have a cache of BBQs and a few Alpine 3554 amps (pre-V12 garbage) lying around.

You should put up some pics of the Plymouth.
