I want gigga bytes!

Going to be spending a lit of time in the car he next year or so; about 3hrs/day. Because of this I now need to move away from the capacity limitations of USB/smart phone/dvd. Im running a Kenwood DNX-1700 now that allows all these inputs but is limited in memory capacity and indexing capabilities (255files/folders).

My digital music collection of somewhere north of 300GB right now. Preferably, I would like to find a HU that I could connect my 1TB external USB (NTFS) drive and have my library indexed properly. Short of an in dash PC/car PC ($$$) is there any other solutions? My one main hard requirement is that it supports FLAC, re-encoding and maintaining sync is not an option.

I am also fine with an external solution that gets connected with line in.

Any suggestions guys??
