A little help with impedance please

I have two Memphis audio tower speakers. They are svc 2 ohm. I have a 4 channel amp rated at 2 and 4 ohm. I’m trying to run these two speakers on A bridged channel to get closer to the speakers rms rating. If I run them in series will that place a 1 ohm impedance on the amp? Should they be run in parallel? I don’t quite grasp all of this and I’ve tried searching but I don’t know that I’ve found my answer. Kind of over my head honestly. If anyone could help I would appreciate it. If I understand correctly I should run them in parallel to get 2 ohms.
