Hello audio files, I’m installing a system in my E46 325i in the coming weeks and have a dilemma with an amp and sub I currently own.
Amp is RF P1005X 5 channel.
Rated - 75 x 4 - 150 x 1 @ 4 Ohms
125 x 4 - 300 x 1 @ 2 ohms
Sub is 10” PG TI310D4 dual 4 ohm voice coils.
600 Watt RMS @ 4ohms
If I wire the sub in parallel is reduces the impedance to 2 ohms.
The 5th channel on the amp says it will do 300 watts @ 2 ohms.
The instruction in the sub box says it’s most happy between 400 to 600 watts.
Because I already own both is like to use them but does the amp have enough oomph to run the 10” sub?
I’ve attached a few pictures and the birth sheet that came with the amp.
Thanks in advance for the help.
