Need some advice...

So, I am back again after more than a year, finally got a new car to work on (1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse). It's stock right now, except for a few add-ons in the engine bay. This means that it's a stock cassette deck, and stock speakers.

I need to put in a good sound system and need your help.

So here is my planned setup:

1. Deck - Not sure yet.
2. 2 MTX Sledgehammer series 12" subs in a custom made box.
3. Amp for subs - MTX 1-Channel Car Amplifier (TC6001) http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10 074474&catid=
4. Amp for speakers - MTX 4-Channel Amplifier (TC4004) http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10 074271&catid=
5. Rear speakers - Infinity 6" x 9" 2-Way Speaker (692.7i) http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10 066764&catid=
6. Front components - Infinity Kappa 5.25" 2-Way Car Speaker (50.7CS) http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10 073941&catid=

Also the doors, trunk, and under the seats and roof will be dynamatted.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions. What should I buy instead of the above mentioned without going too much over in price.

My advice, since you asked for it...
Stay away from future shop. Go to a REAL car audio shop. ask for advice, listen,
buy

Ok, cool, I will do that, thanks for the help. Only problem is that most car audio shops seem to charge a little too much around me.

Also would car audio shops offer in store warranty, like the major retailers do?

Typically they will offer it because they are authorized dealers. Are you installing yourself or are you paying to have it done?

I need a professional job done, so I will have it installed by them, if they offer it.

Does futureshop actually give you a warranty? I thought they just give you an 800 # to call. Buy from a car shop. Prices always seem to be good, especially after talking to them things seem to go on sale!

Futureshop has a warranty that you can purchase, that is I believe $100 for 4 years. Within that period, if anything goes wrong with stuff you purchased they will replace it an no charge, no questions asked, and no waiting. They even remove and install the new product for free as well.

I went with my freind went to 2001 audio/video, after a whole bunch of other shops. The prices looked high at first, but with a package deal for a whole system, things got A Lot better. He did pretty good. HU, 2 amps, 4 speakers and subs. Dash & wiring kit included.
They said they could set up a deal with a local install shop (who also does tint, alarms, etc.)
But he paid me to install it instead. Took some custom mounts, its a big van.

Package deals is where you save money with most audio shops.
Buying single items here and there will cost you. (Like I did)
