Anyone heard what the deal is.....there are a ton of rumours going around. One of our dealers back East told our rep there that they are closing the warehouse in Maple Ridge...and dealers have to order product from Orca USA from now on !! No more Canadian warehousing of any Karz products.

He said he got the call from Orca USA stating the above.

Dont know if thats true...but thats kinda what we've been hearing.
Just wondering if anyone else heard anything similar !! ??

wtf are you serious ?? thats really not good at all ! i havent heard anything like that but. i also havent talked to phil in a week( been very bussy ) ill give them a call tomorow and see what the scoop really is .

It would be too bad....'cause Phil is a great guy.....and I hate anyone having to relocate........especially distributors.

Focal might be doing great but I'm sure there are other factors that may be involved.

 

good changes are coming and it will be very apparent on what they are. for now those who are not 100% familiar with these changes, should call in and discuss.

Phil and Pat are stand up guys and asking them directly will get you straight from the horses mouth info and not 2nd hand slander.

Karz hasnt been around for a year. those that are knowledgable know that already.

 

It seems as though several manufacturers are doing the "direct" approach, and closing down/changing distributors.
I've noticed similar situations with Home Audio brand names.
"for the times they are a changing..,"

 

I think guys who deal with Orca, should speak with Orca and find out what change (if any) is going to occur.

I know from experience what happens to a brand without Canadian distribution... it is not pretty.

But you know the nice thing? At least Focal and Wharfedale are NOT in Future Shop, Best Buy or any other chain... WHEW!

i just talked to pat myself and really there isnt anything to worry about. there will still be support in canada and things will move along as they were so if the sittuation affects you or your a dealer of orca product then talk to phil or pat and they will put your mind at ease
