What is the maximum distance ground can be from an amp. Right now the ground is 3feet away. But I need to extend it a little because of space, I'll be sure not to splice and use a connector, I will run a whole new wire.

Thumbs up

It can be at the battery if you want, as long as the impedence to ground is below half an ohm you should be OK.

Thanks for the info, I'll make sure to sand down the metal really good again and extend the wire. Maybe I'll extend the wire a couple more feet =).

it would be wise to keep it as short as possible and as you said make sure the spot you chose is sanded very clean

Are ground distro blocks safe to use. It seems like an easier way if using 2 amps or more. Anyone have any info on that??

Ground distro blocks are no problem but as stated try to keep your grounds as short as possible.
