Alpine 9885 w/ Sirius Connect

so i recently got the alpine sirius connect for my head unit. everything is running fine, but the channel presets won't save after the car is turned off. they save as long as there is power, but i have both direct and remote power to the dech and works fine. Also, the presets for the radio tunner are saved, as well as date/time setting and EQ settings. I know if the deck losses total power all these other setting woud rest set to default also, but that isn't the case they are saved. Only the sirius preset channels are not saved.

anybody have this problem, or have a solution to this problem.

oh i have the power to the sirius unit run off the remote power of the deck, should it be run off consant power? i didn't want to do this because it could drain the battery.?

Sorry for the rant, but this is relly pi..ing me off!

Constant power my friend, that's why the wire is yellow.

it will not drain your battery

the unit only turns on when the deck goes to it as a source so u need to have it on constant power not the remote wire, should have wired it like the instructions say,

I just wired mine into my cig lighther 12v source
