I have an Ultimate audio T3-1000D and it was working wonderfully last season and now it just goes into protect mode and makes intermitent flushes of power throughout my car. I have put a 150 amp fuse like it said to. I also have the big three done to my car and a 140 amp altenator. Even with a sub hooked up four or two ohms it still does not get out of protect mode. And like a said the power going up and down like waves is really weird to me. My 500 hundred watt phoenix amp works perfectly fine with a fuse that is much more overated for it. So i am thinking that there is too much amperage going to the amp or the amp just pooched. So if anyone has any ideas or suggestions please let me know because if i cant figure it out im gonna sell it for next to nothing or scrap it.

 

hummm... check all your conections and our grounds....kinna sounds like here could be a short somewhere?......if not i dunno man could be your amp.

 

well first off your battery doesnt send random voltage to your amp, your amp gets your battery to feed it power. the fuse is probably fine, your amp may be ****ed or you should check all the wirring, make sure the leads coming from the sub arent touching each other when going into the amp things like that

 

Just because a totally different amp works fine in the same install that could just mean that there is different technology in that amplifier that would make it more forgiving than your other one. Double check your wiring and if you are 100% sure it's not that, send it in to have it looked at by an authorized repair centre and they will be able to tell you for sure.

No, i hvent figured it out and anyone who is able to fix them hasnt replied so i am stuck with it for now until i figure something out.

 

you have verified it is going into protect and not just turning on and off? if your connections are good and the power quality (voltage and current) is good and the amp is going into protect there is nothing to talk about except getting the amp serviced or replaced.

If it is turning itself on and off then there are options

if it is popping in and out of protect its done, we had almost all of the ones we brought in, go back for warranty.

 

is anyone familiar with the warranty terms on these amps?

 

We were 1 year over the counter on all the ones we had.
