FYI: I got this email from SIRIUS

"We expect to get permission to service Canada in the first quarter of 2005. If that happens then, we would start broadcasting shortly afterwards."

I do realize that we can still receive the signal.

I like XM better now.

 

I have had Sirius for over a year, and I think it is great. The selection is pretty extensive(and we don't have a huge selection around here).

I also have the peace of mind of knowing that I can have sports talk radio wherever I go.

I wasnt a big fan of the idea of xm or sirius at first but when I was out in BC my buddy had sirius in his ride and it really was nice. Being able to have a constant radio material wherever you go is great but if you dont travel then I can see your reserve

 

If you don't travel but live in an area with very limited choices, it can be very nice.

I have some choice around here, but not a ton. My best friend still lives in our hometown, and there is crap for choice up there. To him, sirius has been invaluable. I would suspect there are many places that don't have much variety/choice on the radio.

On long trips, I really only listen to sports talk radio. It is very nice to not have to keep searching for stations that carry espn radio. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I have had XM for a while now and I love it.

 

I just got an article today about how poorly inventory has been managed from both provider's manufacturer/partners. Does Alpine make tuners anymore? Sony? Pioneer? How about Clarion and Kenwood? How many transistioned from one chipset to the next? How about the XM Commander? How about the Eclipse and Panasonic tuners? I don't think anyone should be rejoicing considering what kind of mess they have created down in the states.
