So confused .

So heres a delama . I just recently went out ,and bought 2 brand new subs , a box , and an amp . The two subs both hoook up seperate into the box , my amp on the other hand only has screw slots for one . So i decided to run them both into there . Run a postive from one sub , and the negative from the other into one slot , and then the same for the other slot . The problem is when I get my last sub hooked up it kills almost all the power to the subs , but if i take out one of the negatives i believe it was the subs start to pound again . Any one know how i should hook this up to stop this from happening

If i think your saying you unhook one sub you get more bass, it could be a phase issue. you should have both positive speaker wires together to positive on amp and both negative wires together to negative on amp.

If the problem is not your amp shutting down try reversing the polarity, the positive and negative, of one of the speaker wires from one sub going to your amp.

You may also want to check what ohms each sub is... if they are different theres youre problem.

Yes you have to check on the subs back or side and see what impedence/ohms they are. if one is 2 ohms or 4 ohms and the other is different there is you're problem. If that is the case you better get matching subs quick cause if you run them both on youre amp you cause the risk of pooching it.

k not being rude or anything but , you learned about Ohms in high school if you attended class .

time to do a little tiny bit of research on things like ohms amps and volts . again not trying to be rude , just a suggestion .

google is your friend .

never learned about ohms in high school... I was one of the kids that couldnt be bothred with it . As you can see it is effecting me now ,but thats not what I am here about . So I must ask . Will it be printed or is it the negative , and postive push in's for the speaker wire to run out of . If it is the push in
s , both speakers are running 2 negatives , and 2 postives .

If that is not it , then i guess i got to rip the subs out of the box , and check.. But i suriously thought that 2 subs of the exact same brand would be the same . :S

If you give us the EXACT model numbers of your subs and amp, we can look up specs.
Or you could look them up yourself and give us specs, then, we might be able to help you.

Sounds like the subs are out of phase to me. check that you have the positive and negatives from both subs hooked the same way.

Sounds like you hooked your subs wrong. You should wire the positive wires from BOTH subs into the same positive slot on the amp and the negative wires from BOTH subs into the same negative slot on the amp (not a positive wire and negative wire from opposite subs into the one slot).
