Steps for Install...

Is this right? This is my first ever install so yeah... I'm a moron!@#$%

1) disconnect (-) battery terminal
2) remove fuse from power wire
3) connect power wire to (+) battery terminal
5) connect power wire to (+) capacitor
6) connect 2 power wires from (+) capacitor to both amps
7) connect REM wire to both amps
8) connect RCA's
9) connect speaker wires
9) run ground wires from both amps to (-) capacitor
10) ground capacitor
11) install fuse into power wire
12) reconnect (-) battery terminal

Thats right data. Some people will do their grounds first but it doesnt matter, you got it down right.

And expect a big spark as your capacitor instantly charges :P

I would personally ground each of my amps to the body, or to a buss bar, not going back to the cap.

Cap has to be grounded anyway.....

Grounding them together is the best way to avoid the dreaded "ground loops".....

To the OP....if this is your first install, you're anything but a "moron". It looks as though you have done a lot of research and have a much better idea of what you're doing than other people who've posted about the problems they have encountered after the fact.

If you can use a small resister to charge the cap, it will help.

If you can post some pics here it may answer someone else's question's before they even ask......
