Some interesting features including the XBL^2 technology (Adire licensed), bottomless motor, very low Fs, and adjustable Qts.
The Atlas series looks pretty good especially considering the price point. Avalanche may be a tad overpriced but we'll see how they perform in time.
Possible good choice for a home theater sub also.

^^^^yeah, but thats how MTX started. The founder (a baby boomer... no pun intended ARRGGHH how stupid is that!!!)LOL but the founder started making speakers for his Dorm room buddies in the early 1970s, thats how he started. Didn't rockford start the same way?

LLoyd started with building cabinets and went from there. Most of these new subwoofer companies are just marketing names, that buy product off one company that build's it, then slap their name on it. Now there is nothing wrong with that, but it does lead to a deluge of basically identical woofers from 3-5 different companies. Not all of them survive due to the market being thin, next thing you know it's impossible to get service as the company is shut down.
The subwoofer market reminds me of the skateboard market after every pro skater figured they should start their own company, it's cool that they have the initiative, but a saturated market means many won't survive.

So lets kill that silly statement quick. Lyod Ivey did not start in his dorm room in the early 70's. He started pre 70's in his Garage growing up in Chicago untill he purchased American Acoustic Labs in 1971. MTX as we know it didnt become MTX untill 1981.
