I just picked up a near mint Marathon 6 Channel 6150 amp from a friend who was the orignal owner

Check the pics

It does ~75x6 @ 4ohm, or 200x3 @ 4ohm bridged.

I'm feeling rather and is was not from the ferry ride or the food I just ate.

I can't believe one salesman has put such a damper on a good company's products.

Has anyone here even used the higher end Massive/Marathon lines?

Jon, I am sure the product is great and will work great as well. Yes it does perform good at the same time. If it works good for you, that is all that matters, enjoy good sound. For me, it is not a line that I would retail to my customers (maybe I'm just picky though - a sealed box is great).

I have just never seen anyone outside of the greater Victoria area that used it either.

It's like the Vancouver area and Dr. Crankenstein. It is virtually unknown anywhere else but was pretty big out here for a few years.
I know DR.Crankenstien, I've lived in Ontario all my life, actually it was one of the first subs I'd ever heard when I first started in car audio. They were great stuff as I remember....don't know of Marathon though.

I'm wondering if the product works well, you know it sells, then why would you never want to sell the Massive lineup to your customers?

I am a customer to the people who make and import the products. If I mistreat a customer in my store or outright lie to them and they know it, would they buy from me? If I as a customer am outright lied to and do not like how I am treated as a customer, would I support that product line to retail it to a customer. I deal with companies that want to build a relationship with me the proper way.

As it sits right now, the line could be the best line in the world, it will never have a home in my store, nor the line that replaced it. For reasons that are not going to be posted on open forum, let's leave it at that. Enjoy good sound.

Don't worry Brandon, I know Dr. Crankenstein subs as well. I was never impressed with them though and certainly not for the price they were usually set at.
