Question

hi, new visitor here. hoping i can get some recommendations on an install for my 2003 dodge ram standard cab pick-up. was bought with the factory 4 speaker cd, looking to upgrade simply because it lacks the punch i want. have some equipment left over from my last car that i want to re-use and hope to get some ideas. have an old jvc 3 disc in dash changer that is still in excellent shape, a pair of 10" pyle dvc subs, pair of 6.5" kicker free air subs, jvc 3 way crossover, phoenix gold m25 amp and the amp that came with the jvc deck. was hoping to build a box for the 10's to fit behind the seats, and use the 6.5kickers in the front doors where factory 6.5's are. main sticking point is where to put the mids/hihgs in the front. would like to minimize as much as possible "cutting apart" the interior for this install and where possible would like to re-use factory speaker mount locations. from what i recall the optional infinity system used some speakers in the dash, also thinking of re-using the rear speaker mount locations in the cab back pillars for rear "fill" . recommendations would be appreciated and if you have any pics of one you have seen or done please e-mail them to me. i live in the toronto area and if anyone could recommend a good place to have the install done id appreciate it. normally if i was driving an old junker like my last few cars id do the install myself but would prefer to have this one done preofessionally to keep it clean.

you can make a wood baffle to mount the 6.5 and tweet in.........it's tight with 6.5's but it does fit

rear speakers should be 5 or 6" can't remember wich .........

the dash locations are 3" but I wouldn't use em you can get some nasty reflections off the windshield

you may want to look into some custom made kicks ........
Yep Dodge called it.
6.5's are a REALY tight fit up front but it will work.

I have a 95 Dodge Ram regular cab short box. I have pics of my door panels with AVI comps on Yahoo but don't know how to post them here. When i get back from work near the end of November, i'm going to try again. I also have two 12 inch subs and three amps in behind my seats. I don't have photos of that end of it yet but will soon and want to post them too.
Of course all of this could be redundant because you may have your install done before ever seeing my pics. Obviously this post doesn't help you but this pic posting thing and my computer illiteracy have irritated me for some time now.

Good luck with your truck and stereo.

Dennis.
