Hey I have a MRDM300 got a E-3 Error on it which according to the manual is two much current. Has anyone had this Error on these amps or know how to reset them. I have tried everything.

Just a guess but, 'too much current' is analogous to current clipping...

Current clipping with a normal load suggests that your power wire isnt heavy enough or you have a bad ground... in turn thats causing major voltage drop.... (also possible that your batt/alt just cant keep up with your current demands?)

Go over all wiring and connections.. it could also be a intermittent short.. ect..

If you cant figure it out you should have the amp bench tested...

Over current meaning shorted out power supply?

That was pretty much my thought I was hoping you had to reset the amp or something. Something that I didnt know. Well off to repair it does I guess.

heh.. if this is happening when you first turn the amp on its definatly internal (I didnt even ask )

Either a blown PSU transistor or an output.. or both...

Hey
I have seen that error with a shorted output transistor, not too expensive to repair.
Good Luck, J
