LCD interlocks
I was wondering if someone could explain how LCD's are interlocked in the car. I remember reading once (i think on this board, possibly another) that a monitor has to be interlocked with ether the e-brake or the park position of the gears if the screen is going to be viewable by the driver. Is this still a law, and if so, what wires are available in the vehicle to use for the interlock?
For background information, I'm designing a motorized flipout LCD mount for a design class and I also want to include the interlock feature.

Yes, it's still law, a guy in guelph got nailed for it on the weekend, dangerous driving, 6 points and a big fine.
The easiest way to do an interlock within the unit is to have an input/output loop, so you send the wire to a switch on the Ebrake, that closes when the Ebrake is engaged, and have the return path go to the actual unit. PM or Email me if U have any questions, I've designed a few things like that before.
