I'm gonna be buying a new deck this weekend. I have narrowed my choices down to:

http://iweb.alpine-usa.com:7777/pls/...y=45&p_main=10

for $388

and

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...etailComponent
for $369

To me the Alpine looks a bit better but I wouldnt mind a second opinion.

btw
all speakers will be running off of amps so the internal amp will never be used.

In my case, the link you posted for the alpine deck just seems to be going to their main page, what Alpine model were u looking at?

I'm pioneer biased, so I'm gonna say pioneer, and it plays dvds, add an lcd screen and you're set

Futureshop is advertising the Pioneer DEH-P7500MP for $399 installed in my local flyer ... That's what I'd get ... $479 online ...

Also, Futureshop has the DEH-P5500MP for $349 online (free shipping, if I'm not mistaken) ...

Neither play DVDs, just so you know ...

Also, the 2 volt pre-outs won't be that different ... The P7500MP has 4 volt pre-outs, by the way ...

Once you've experienced an Alpine, you be tempted to try other brands, you may even try other brands, but in the end you will find yourself with a Alpine.

I was actually thinking of getting the Alpine deck myself in the near future, does anyone know a good place to buy one at, which might have them on sale? or somewhere where i'll get a decent price?
