i got grounds going from battery straight to amps, from battery to the frame of the car and from frame of the car to the amps as well as from battery to battery.

what u want to do is totally fine but makesure you have a fuse on the power cable. Yes there is a benefit, much better ground.

if you measure the resistance of th ewire and the resistance of the ground point on the car would it not be better to take the one with the less resistance. Isn't there less chance of noise being induced when its wired directly to the battery.

I have been told even in the most ideal chassis ground locations grounding to the chassis is about the same as running a 4 gauge wire from the battery to the amps.

Uh I think people do it because there is way less resistance if you run through the chassis of the car than if you run through a 15 foot long wire

Depends on vehicle what if the welds are bad and if the it is not joined properly that will amke the resistance quite high would it not.
