What are your thoughts and opinions about the Audison VRX series of amplifiers.

what are you doing now? [img]tongue.gif[/img] did you start to rebuild yet? and they look very nice! haven't herd one though. mabye in you car one day lol.

 

I want to go with either Audison VRX or McIntosh amps for my next install. I haven't decided yet on which ones to use.

 

I might go with LRX for a simple small setup
I had a listen to a nice setup at AC using two of the VRX and some focals (highs and subs)
very smooth, very clear.. I'd say you can't go wrong... I think it'd blow away your cobalts [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

 

Robin, it's good you had a chance to listen to them in a car...I've only heard the Audisons on a demo board. I'm sure they will blow the old Cobolts away. What are your thoughts on the McIntosh line of amps.

 

I believe Islandphile on this board is using VRx amps in his car. May want to look him up.

 

I almost bought mcintosh a few years back.. their very very clean, their not as dynamic as other amps I listened to.. (IE music was lacking the peaks and "power" behind it, it was smooth and soft) the VRX was very nice (fairly high power amp in this setup though 150x2 to the fronts or something)
