Custom Enclosure Measurement?

Does anybody have any tricks for accurately measuring the volume of an irregular shaped enclosure?

Foam chips ! right on. I'm guessing I fill up the enclosure with them.

Any tips on the best way to measure them afterward and do you know where a good place to get some would be?

thanks!

get a box that you know the size and fill it with the foam chips that came form the sub box or make a 1cft box and see how many times you fill it

Any large rectangular box. Length x Width x Depth you fill it to. If you measure in inches, multiply it all together and divide by 1728 for cubic feet.

I couldn't find any foam chips so I bought a bunch of sponges from the dollar store and cut them up. seemed to work well.

Now if only I can figure out why my subs sound so crappy when the enclosure is the right size.

Ya as far as I can tell the enclosures are air tight. I looked and listened for any obvious air leaks but haven't found any. The seal around the opening the sub sits in also seems good.

I imagine if their was an air leak it would be pretty obvious, that I would be able to feel the air pushing out.... or do I need to investigate further?
