Painting/Powder coating amps

Would painting or powerder coating an amp affect an amp in anyway?
I'm thinking of changing out amps for something else, and this time around I want it to have a theme.
Thus I am looking to change the colours.
Any help would be great
Thanks

just make sure you take the internal stuff out, or, make sure you have them plugged well

Paint or powder coating will for sure effect the heat dissipation capacity of the heatsink.

Is the amp painted now? or anodized? You might want to get re-anodized. I used to get a ton of bike parts re-anodized in different colors.

The amps i am wanting to do are soundstream's rubicon series.
a few chips and scratches, but maybe changing the colour would be sweet
