Does any current headunit model have a black out flip down anti-theft screen like the old Sony CDX-M600, my bros friend had 1 a couple of years ago i don't want to buy a used Sony CDX-M600 cause i don't like 2nd hand and i also want one with bluetooth but i'm just lookin for one with the black out screen

Kenwood has it on many of their models

 

New JVC unit with the screen has a blackout feature.

The new JVC Kameleon receiver has this feature. Some of the older Kenwood Excelon receivers had the MASK security that rotated the faceplate 180 degrees so all that potential thieves could see was a blank face.

 

lol those were a great idea until everyone figured out what the random black thing in place of your stereo actually is. can't take off your faceplate either. i wouldn't get one.

 

im not too concerned about it getting stolen i just want it cuz i think it looks awesome, if i had 1 with a detachable face plate id never take it off anyways...

 

yeah so far i think im gonna get the JVC Kameleon unless sum1 knows of 1 that folds down like the old CDX-M600? cuz how the controls are all hidden till its folded down, so keep posts comin plz

Tell you the truth they are dead give aways.Good to steal and resell because the face is still on it.I like Eclipse remove the face plus it has ESN so if they do get it witout the face it still won`t work till they send it to United Radio for unlocking then they are busted

 

k alrdy established that it's not good anti-theft and that im not that concerned so can ppl just post models that do wat the thread is about? I'm not concern'd about theft just think it looks good...
