Has anyone had the opportunity to hear the top-end Diamond amps (the D7s) and compare them to Audiotec Fischer's Brax/Helix amps or the Sinfonis?

Are the Diamonds in the same league?

 

The Diamond D7's were supposed to be the resurection of the old Esoteric E7's. The Esoteric units were amazing...I have yet to hear a Diamond peice though.

 

Diamond bought the technology and design from esoteric.

It is basically the same with many of the probelms fixed from the esoteric design

 

From what I've heard, from Dave Mackinnon who happens to own an Esoteric unit, the Diamond is not the same amp at all as the Esoteric. He didn't really get into details but that's what he told me.

Well i had a great conversation with the Diamond Audio engineer in person and he seems to disagree with Dave Mac so...... [img]graemlins/bs.gif[/img]


The Esoteric amps had issues.....

And i will agree with the [img]graemlins/blah.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/blah.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/bump.gif[/img] because it all about ad money in that mag, for the most part.

 

I doubt Dave would outright lie to me about something like that.

I've been talking to Dave on and off for 3-4 years now and he's never given me misleading information before.

Maybe in the magazine he said there the same peices but outside of the Mag he says there not. I don't second guess Dave because the man knows what he's talking about...if he says the Esoteric amp is better, I believe him.

 

Dave mac does a lot of talking, havn't seen him do much more.
