stiffening caps
I am thinking about purchasing a 1 farad accucap or rockford. Are these things worth the money? Is there a better way to provide the necessary power for the system for under 300.00 cdn in the woodbridge area?
My system consists of Alpine head, jbl power series components and 12" subs and Rockford Punch 8004 and 6001 amps. The sound is awesome, but I am afraid of turning it up too loud because of the massive headlight dimming and even poor idling of the engine at stop lights.

If you have not done the big 3 upgrade yet, do it, if you dont know what it is, just do a search.
Next would be change your battery to something like a yellowtop or exide orbital.
That would probably be a better use of your money than the capacitor.

A cap does not create power, it stores and uses it. What you need to concentrate on first is making the current transfer as efficient as possible. Upgrade all the ground wires in the vehicle (known as the Big3 for a good reason), then a good battery.
