Hi James,After hearing Biggs Buick.
I thought that a single sub located centrally would work wonders.
the tonal accuracy was amazing
stage width and placement was also great.
but, it's all in how far you want to go,and what class you wish to compete in.
i feel, the fewer drivers, the fewer problems with phase shift, cancellation, and other listening axis problems.

heavily dependant on front speaker location compared to the woofer location and very heavily dependant on woofer x-over point and slope. if up high on the dash you can get away with a much higher x-over point, if lower in the cab, a lower point will be neccessary for obvious reasons(more directional frequncies).

Bimmer...15" in the kicks is when the car went downhill sound wise. Earl had the new B & W Nautilus 801's. I thought the in car Matrix 801 had the best tonal qualities of all.
