75ohm Cables
Are these cables any better for sound? I've been told yes and no. I have access to the proper tools (crimper) to build my own cables so I'm just wondering if it's an option. That is to replace my standard twisted or coax rca cables for a true 75ohm cable and end.
I remember trying it about 25 or so years ago. The shielding did wonders in rejecting noise. I used RCA adapters that screwed into the RG x cable ends. I stopped using them because the cables were not flexible enough. Back then SQ in anything (tape decks, amps, etc.) was limited, so to me they sounded better because of the noise rejection......... besides, I smoked so much pot back then, everything sounded good.
