RCA cables

i got a friend that is install a system in his suburban and he use RCA cables from his VCR to connect the head unit to the amp... could this cause a problem??

Not really. RCA cables are RCA cables, some of the home video ones are actually really good quality.

The biggest issue I see here is: how is he gonna watch a video?
