protection mode?

what can cuase an amp to go into protection mode?

FYI its a kicker 1200.1.

unstable voltage...heat...improper wiring...if i'm not mistaken that amp has fan cooling...is the fan still going?

a screw through a speaker wire or rca, a blown sub, bad power supply, bad ground.

would a ground that isn't 100% tight cause a 'bad ground'?
