I just bought this amp thinking it had a normal remote screw in connection for bare wire. This is what I found.

The amp has twin power supplies and I was wondering if each connection was for each power supply.

Is there a way I can wire this up without purchasing the US$40 cord for this?

I have the remote wire from the deck wired installed back to the amplifier, but I don't know how to get it to turn on this amp.

Anyone have experience with sony amps with this type of remote plug?

I am very handy at soldering and if I can just hard wire it, it would save me a little money.

Please guys, I really need your help.

Everything is set except this.

LOL, that's easy. Sell it to me, please.

Ok, fine. I won't have a 3rd 260G.

All you gots to do is solder the remote line to the bottom lead. Done. Your amp will now turn on.

I actually bought back one of those amps off a buddy I sold it to this summer and I forgot to take the remote connector with it.

Hey, I think I got an email from this guy.
Lol, this is all you pretty much have to do. Just solder it on the bottom lead.

So I solder or connect the remote to the bottom square one, man, that helps out considerably!!!

Woohoo! I am so happy!

The one bitch about this amp is the lack of a low pass filter but luckily my new pioneer premiere deck has a built in low pass subwoofer filter.

Boy, wasn't that a no-brainer?

That's one reason I like these amps. No filter BS on these amps, just like every other amp I have.

I can't see why you are calling it a no-brainer?

I didn't have any instructions and this type of connection isn't exactly normal.

Friggin Sony proprietary bull****. Grrrrr.....

Seeing it's a 12v/low amperage connection, I might just push the wire into that connection and hot glue it in place.

Bah, it's not that proprietary. Then again, it is an easy way for Sony to make 40 bucks off the odd moron.

Hey, if you're that mad about Sony, sell the amp to me.

Welp, I wired it up and

Holy Cripes, it pounds!!!!

I just got a noise complaint from a tenent on the 3rd floor on the apartment complex I was installing the amp in front of. He said the floor was vibrating. I'm not ****ting you at all.

After about an hour I came out of my truck looking like this

While I was testing it in the truck, I looked like this

Boy oh boy, the dual 10's absolutely POUND!!!
