Here is a Jetta 1.8T I finished last month. He had a full Monsoon system in there (yech...) and I had to bypass everything. I installed an Alpine CDA-9815, Focal Polykevlars up front with the Utopia tweeters, Focal Polyglass co-ax in the rear, Focal 27H subs all hooked up to a MacIntosh 6 channel amp. I used Monster XLN throughout and quite a bit of Dynamatt extreme in the trunk.

Keep in mind this was all done on a strict budget so I couldn't exactly use any exotic materials or anything. I will be doing custom pods and a f/g false floor in the summer sometime for him.

I agree with you 100% Dukk. Seriously, why buy an $1800 US amp (which is what he did) and $400 RCA's (yup) and get a 'basic' install? Doesn't make sense to me either but hey, thats what he wanted so....

I was scratching my head too as to why he wanted those Focals in the stock locations. He knows I can do pods so why not just do that as well? Yeah, its more $$ but its worth it just for the imaging alone.

There's always spring.

Apparently so. He's a super good guy and all of his stuff is MINT. The price on that Mac amp is insane !!! Someone buy it before I do!
