Crap, I think I ordered the wrong wires!!!

Ok, my setup is as follows:
HU - CDA-9833
Fronts - SPS-570A
Rear - Same as fronts
Subs - Type R 1041D x2
Amp for subs - MRP-M350 x2
1.5 Farad Cap
I ordered two 4 gauge amplifier kits for my amps. Did I screw up? On crutchfield it says my amp takes 8 guage. Also, do I need to order anything else?

I should start the install this weekend, unless of course I need to go get some different wireing. Thanks again.

PS - Oh yeah, I think I will be ordering the F540 to power my speakers. Think thats a good choice? Thanks again!

Yes you did. A single 4g kit is what you need plus a distribution block and a few feet of 8g.
A single run of 4g power wire will be sufficient to supply two M350's and a single F540.
I would however suggest running a single 2g or larger if you plan on upgrading to more power in the future. Always best to do a job just once.

the mrvf540 is an amazing amp, and ya did a bit of overkill on the wires but phoenix gold makes a wiring adaptor that allows you to put 4 guage into an 8 guage terminal, its called a pro40, and the cap is a senseless waste of time and money return it for a refund if you can and use the $$$$ towards the 540

you sure about the cap? I am running a 94 ford ranger. Not sure if it has enough power or not.
So, I can use some 4 guage to power the two M350's, and then get a distribution block and run the 8 guage to the battery? Great thanks.

adaptor for 4 -> 8 ????? huh? isnt that what wire strippers are for? That or just TIGHTLY winding the wire small enough to fit.... but I did an install for someone, and just used wire strippers and cut off a coule strands at a time until I could get the wire in....

very sure about the cap, it should only be used after all other voltage rlated provosions have been made, eg, rewire grounds under hood to 4awg(at least), rewire main power lead from alternator to battery, replace battery(if deemed appropriate), alternator if neccessary, if an alternator cant charge the battery well enough to support the amps putting a cap in will only put more strain on a already strained charging system, imo
