LOL! Finally, somebody faily competent at using a measure was operating the saw at the cutshop today. All the pieces came out even this time. Last few times I had pieces that were 1/4" too short or too long.

Anyhow, this one is after the port displacement maybe around 2.75CF for both chambers. There are two ports of 1.5"*13"*32"long - so roughly 40sq. inches of port area. Tunes to around 32Hz.

The box is 41.5" wide... it fits perfectly in an Explorer since the Explorer back end is just a tad over 41" wide. The box will push against the two wheelcovers and stop them from rattling now, so that's an added bonus.





I was wondering though... can you stuff a ported enclosure (obviously not obstructing the port opening)? I recall I've seen this done on HT speakers/subs.

In addition, where can I get some real truck bedliner? The kind you would apply with a roller. Previously I always used Canadian Tire brand aerosol truck bedliner but this stuff scratched fairly easily.

is that for 2 12's or 2 10's?? It looks good man those ports are weird tho are they supposed to be like that? Im lookin into makin a box like that for a pair of 10's

I'm going to try out a couple Pioneer Premier TS-W125Cs (12") in them. You make the ports like that when it's impractical to fit a straight long port in there (in my case 32"). Just make sure to round over the edges (which by the way was a pain in the *** cause I was using a plane and some sandpaper instead of a router... LOL)

No... actually I think that box that I built would be good for two 10s.

If you want to play around with the dimensions. The cut list I had is:
2 - 13*41.5
1 - 13*40
1 - 13*37
2 - 13*13
1 - 13*11.5
6 - 13*10

The box fit in my mom's Mazda Protege trunk but you can't slide it back all the way. It only fit in the wide part before it tapers off as you go past the wheelwells.

Box looks good. Yes u can stuff a ported box, I would just suggest maybe to put some like chicken wire before the port starts or something. Not saying it would happesn but u wouldn't wanna be blowing polyfill out of your port! lol

 

The only problem I've seen with those ports is that you get a prety severe restriction on airflow, which can help with increasing power handling, but does slightly decrease your output
