thickening fiberglass

if i want to thicken my box could i use fleece in between 2 or 3 layers of fiberglass.. Just to strengthen it cause this is getting expensive..

Fiberglass has been proven to be stronger than fleece. There is a reason people don't build boats from fleece

at the same time fleece is thicker, and holds more resin, on my amprack i found that 1 layer of fleece is stronger then 2-3 layers of fibreglass cloth

^ not stronger. You probably mean stiffer.

Jaymes - depending on the specifics of your box you only need about 6-8 layers of glass. Get some good heavy matte and that is only 3-4 sessions of glass. Matte is only ~$5 a linear yard so for $30 you get plenty for a box.
