Crossover location
Hey guys, wondering if anyone has any ideas where I could mount my crossover for my component speakers? I just want to make sure it doesn't rattle around in the door, so I'm not sure if I should mount it in the door or in the vehicle itself?
Any fresh ideas are appreciated.
p.s.> component speaker install is going great so far.

I've never had an issue with a crossover suffering damage when mounted in a door. The ones I have seen that were damaged were left dangling in the bottom of the door where they get water damage.
I figure if I am running wire into the door then it may as well be multiple runs and the passive goes in the car. If for some reason I cannot or am not running new wire into the door then the passive goes in the door.

i have even had water damage (corrosion) on sopme midbass that were in my doors so i don't really like to put anything of value in there.
about to fix that though. gonna build a fiberglass enclosure to slip inside the door. fun fun
