Ok, fiberglassing my door skins inside the house is not going so well.. the smell from the styrene is way too strong..

How much does epoxy generally run?

A local hardware store has it for $39 per quart, or $89 for a gallon, and 5gallons for $112...

why can't I just buy a single friggn gallon for $25 ?????

I have never needed epoxy resin, so I can't answer much other than to say, it will be much more expensive than polyester resin. Are you sure it doesn't smell as much, I have not heard that this is an advantage with it. Most use it to keep shrinking to a minimum, or when doing carbon fiber.

^I think its also stronger... I was talking with a guy at a boat shop today, and he confirmed that it dosen't smell nearly as bad...

Man, this is friggn retarded.. I went to the place that sells this stuff locally, and the only way you can get it at a good price is if you buy 5gal or more...

its 7x more expensive buy 1quart at a time...

Oh well, I set up a fume hood in the corner of my room so I can use the polyester crap... seems to be doing the job well...

From what I hear, you can buy an additive the combats the smell of standard styrene resin. Makes it smell like bubble gum.

A couple of guys on Carsound have tried it - apparently the company will even send out a free sample [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]
