While I have been up here today for the FX Audio Free dB Drag,Someone has graciously given me a free Eclipse deck...4v preouts..pretty nice...except one catch...ITS LOCKED!

This person told me that it needs to be sent away to someplace in states to be unlocked for a cost of about $80 plus shipping...not too shabby,but a little more than I can afford right now...

Does anyone happen to know of a way to do this?

i heard it could be unlocked with a hammer as well

 

If it was regestered with Eclipse the original owner will have to do it.
If not, you may be able to do it with some help from an Eclipse retailer. The older ones had to be sent in but if it's only a couple years old you can probably do it with some help.
Get to your local authorized Eclipse retailer with it & they can help you.

 

Like I told you before...phone me, and I can unlock it!

 

And if that does not work, any authorized dealer should be able to unlock it as well. A ESN change of owner form will need to be filled out first and then the dealer should be able to get a new rotating unlock code for it, provided the cd player is newer than a 98 model.

 

Well...I still havent learned anything about this deck yet...
