Question

Has anyone had a chance to do a starter on one of these yet? Rumor is they have made it impossible to put a starter in one. Only the A/T can have a starter, and only the factory Honda starter. Find it hard to beleive but stranger things have been true. I already know we're going to get asked to do one, just want to have an answer for them when it happens.

If it starts with a key, there must be a way. Trev, I'll let you know what that Ridgeline kit is like. I think I'm going to blast it with a spray bomb to colour match it as well.

Honda indeed at their training told us that it's impossible to add on an aftermarket starter because they're using a new immobilizer system that is consistently changing codes, or something along those lines. Whether or not it's really possibleI guess we won't know until someone tries

Interestingly Honda is now selling a dealer installed remote starter with a very well designed two way remote for the 2006 Civics

^^ And that is just it. can't see Honda having a starter unless they have a way to shut off the immobilizer with a bypass. I'm hoping they are just full of themselves, thinking to scare us off of trying to do it.

Rob, thanks. Let me know how it fits.

Trev, on that Ridgeline you guys did, was there a factory sub? My customer is out of town right now and I want a heads up on this for when he comes in.

not even an amplified system. there is a huge cavern behind the deck. you can mount anything you want behind there. kind of reminds me of working on 1990 civic's. soon as you get in it you'll love working on the thing. if your using an AVIC you'll need the VSS simulator.
