I have a '66 Chevelle and am stressing very much over this car installation. I don't have speakers so I installed two Blaupunkt speakers (1 per door). Which took me 4 hours per door. Then I installed my deck, Pioneer DEH-P7700MP. At first it was working and sounded really well. It played three songs and then after that would not work. We went through 4 fuses for the deck. Nothing would come up on the screen of the deck either. It also smelled like smoke or something. Can anyone help me on this? I'm nervous as I don't know what may be wrong. If I need a new deck, speakers? or what? Please help I really want this to work, please. Thanks

look at the wires is one next to part of the car .
if a wire is hitting the car , it will get the deck to go into shutdown .
so look at the speaker where the wire is does it hit the car ?
or
look at the deck where the wire goes into the deck does the wire hit a neg or the car

No, it isn't touching the car, but now the deck smells burnt. Do I need to buy a new deck?
