well, 2nd time in a year. and in 2 different towns. first time was in abbotsford, now in surrey.

got up for work at 4 am and went outside, clicked my alarm off to hear it go beep beep beep. i said to myself.. "damn it..".. than i saw the frost smudged away on the window where it was pulled out to unlock my door. so i got inside to see a gaping hole in my dash...

yea ok, so i live in surrey and i should be expecting this. but still. ive lived out here about a year now and i just moved to a new place a few weeks ago obviously a worse neightborhood.. or so ive learned.. especially to have it stolen in my own driveway with the alarm going off (which sadly i didnt hear)..

anyway, thats my story. not that much lost, only worth a few hundred bux but still a piss off. just thought id share

its an alpine. model year 2002, 1 year before mp3 models came in. its a blue / silver edition that has the electronic front that comes down and the cd goes in behind it. has remote, 2 preouts. i forgot the exact model # because the box is back at my old house. ive tried to look around to see if i can find one identical to see which one it is. maybe u could help me out.

That's pretty ballsy to sit in a car and steal the deck with the alarm going off. Then again you are in Surrey, I've lived in Vancouver and know only too well what crime is like out there.

thats why more people should look into 2-way alarms. i know so many guys that have had stuff jacked and they dont hear a thing and neither do the neighbours.

Well two thieves (one who had just gotten out of the pen in Prince Albert) sat in his 98 civic cx (hatch) at the time for about 5 minutes in the dark with the alarm going off trying to steal his amp and subs. The neighbours called the cops and apparently the entire force showed up at the house and that was the end of that.

Some people are stupid.
