Stolen gear
Hey, been putting this out there and got referred to this site from my inquiries. This was all taken from in front of my house last night, in Abbotsford.
A Kenwood flip-face CD deck (can't find my reciept, so no model # for now, it's black and silver with one knob on each side of the screen - left for volume and menu and the right is a toggle). An old US Acoustics digital amp, it's a USX series with the blue light bar, can't remember if it's a 600F or 800F but they're rare enough to know it when you see it. And a JL 10" sub in a carpeted truck box. They left the harness in the truck, but they did dig out my faceplate from the console. Help is much appreciated, obviously I want to find my stuff but even more so I want to find the guys who took it...my truck is being targeted and I've had enough. Thanks |
They took all my CD's too, well over 100 of them. Mostly metal, 2 full cases. Adding it all up, I'm out around $2000. I'm serious about a reward for whoever can find these ****s.

MODEL NUMBER OF THE DECK: Kenwood KDCMP628.
I'll be going around all the car audio shops I can find and having them keep track of anybody who buys a harness for this deck. |
dude its abby...
all your has a new owner by now i guarantee you.. sorry i cand help you out.. but abby is pretty bad for car audio being stolen. and not enough people from abby use this site. maybe 20? |
Couldn't track them down, sure tried though. At any rate, I already replaced everything, well except for the couple thou in CD's obviously. I still don't get what they do with those. They can't pawn them, not in CD books. I guess they really like metal.

it sucks, but on a side note, don't leave your faceplate in the vehicle, that's why they come off, you have a better chance of not getting your HU stolen if they break into the car and it's not there, they might just leave the deck, but if they find it in the glove box, or console, they grab it... sorry to hear it man, Mark |
The truck is also now equipped with a pager alarm. I almost hope they try again. They'll probably wind up tripping and falling trying to run away.

i cant help you other then recommending checking ebay and/or craigslist daily
but 1. Will car insurance cover it? 2. If some1 succesfuly stole your stereo chances are they do it often which means you might not want to 'F' with them. Always not that great to get your butt kicked/hurt/shot over few hundred bux :sly: go through your insurance and get new gear?:dunno: |

Always not that great to get your butt kicked/hurt/shot over few hundred bux :sly: I know what I'm doing "f'ing" with them. The problem is catching them. God help anybody I catch breaking into my vehicle... I don't consider thieves/crackheads as human beings. Oh yeah, it was a hell of a lot more than a few hundred bucks. I lost well over $3000 worth of . I'm willing to maim for that kind of money. A few hundred bucks would just get a kicking. But again, finding them is the problem. Chickenshits at heart, if they really were that tough they wouldn't hide themselves so well. It's common knowledge the cops won't do no matter what. Oh yeah, first time they busted in, buddy caught them and sent his pitty after them. Unfortunately, they got away, and obviously they didn't learn their lesson. |
