Does the quality of a stiff. cap really make a difference?

HI, I have a Monster cap 1.0 non-digital cap. What kind of difference would this (reasonably lower-end) cap have in comparison to a very high end cap? is it worth the money, or is it just a waste? Besides, name a few really high-end caps, for reference. Thanks for your help.

A farad is a farad, and unless the manufacturer varies the dielectric (which would change the RC time constant) then they are all the same. The RC time constant could mean a faster or slower charge/ discharge time (but the folks who sell the caps make no claims on their superior RC time constant so I would assume they are either all the same or they just put their badge on and don’t know).

I have a BATCAP 400. Unfortunatly, I cant get it any closer then 8 feet from my amps (it's not installed yet but that should be a close measurement). Should I even use the cap??? If not, it will be fors sale.
Sorry "GMonette", didnt mean to steal your post.

^ It is as good as any other cap
The farther away from the load (in this case the amp) a cap is placed the less effective it becomes to the load. With an 8 foot distance the cap will regulate system (alt and battery) voltage as much as it does the amps. The cap will respond more slowly (longer RC time constant) to amplifier load changes due to the increased resistance. On Carsound they preach keeping the cap less then 2 feet from the amp/ load, I usually take Carsound with a grain of salt though.
