*2008 Db Drag Finals Canadian Scores, Pics, Vids and Update Thread*
job well done for all the canadians this year. the 4 canadians at Laughlin did well, bringing home 3 firsts, and a second, throwing decent #'s. A job well done to erin in street stock a who made it all the way to nationals. unfortunate amplifier protection stopped her from going onto worlds. VERY VERY IMPRESSIVE score on a SINGLE 12" type r, and 1000 watts......144.8 on music CERTIFIED.
Way to go dale...TEAM CUUUUUUUSTOM.....for going onto wolrds with a 156.7 in street c. unfortunate remote issues hindered him from easily winning worlds.
and of course to James. who threw a great # in street a of 154.1 on 3 and a half voice coils.
and I want to thank everyone who had a hand in helping us this year. I got knocked out of regionals with a score of 151.1 @ 40hz. just like the rest of us, I ran into issues, and had to run the amps at 1 ohm instead of 1/4, but that's db drag racing.

I mean, I have a world of respect for Dale and the number he did. He even got a call from Jeff in SPL Inc after their run and both divulged the score they could have put up had they both gotten off the numbers they were seeing in testing.
If Dale had gone full out and SPL Inc not been burping with only 2 of 4 amps (due to a faulty wire connection) then we would have seen a TIE of 157.7.
Awesome numbers from both guys but lets be honest, it's a world away from Peter and his 161.4.
Dale... great job down in Nevada. You made the final run really exciting for everyone at our location trying to squeeze the last few tenths out of the car because we were worried of the number you could bring. You did all of Canada proud by taking the title and were a class act when Jeff called.
Thanks for making it fun!

Woah, Woah, nobody is high or out of their mind, I don't think so anyway, lol. I guess Will was not there when I told all the guys about my conversation with Spl inc., so he didn't realize they also had hit a 57.7 in the pits.
Regardless, our vehicles have some unfinished business I guess, it would be great to do that in person, would be way more exciting. So we will have to see next season. Congrats to Spl inc. too, they had a great season, put up huge numbers but had problems in the end, I know how that feels and it sucks, (finals 2006).
Thanks everyone for the cool thoughts, we will keep on burping!

Dale... I've got no problem with him saying you would have won Nationals. He had no way of knowing the numbers that we were getting in the stall and their numbers were quite a bit lower than they had shown in the lanes previously. (down to a 56.2 from the 57 at the start of the year)
But to say they could have "easily" won Nationals is a bit of a knock on SPL Inc and all of the other people who put in a lot of work down there.
Then... to say you would have easily won WORLDS? That's the part that made me think he was a bit crazy. Unless he just misspoke and didn't realize that the run against SPL Inc was just National and not for the world title... ?
In any case... again, NICE job down there. I've seen the work it takes for SPL Inc to get where they are and can only assume you've put the same amount in to your build. Congrats on doing all of us Canadians proud.
