Buddy you can do all the reading you want on the internet.... there are no how to threads when it comes to building something along the lines of a 159.9 bassracer. I have built several very large bassrace setups for myself and a few friends and money is the least of your problems when it comes to playing music into even the mid 150's. My vehicle last year was absolutely destroyed and I was only playing music around 152ish...
grant it I was tuned @26hz but that is even a far cry from 159.9 bassrace. Take a look on termpro and see how many vehicles are even capable of burping a 162..... and to top it off most of them couldnt sustain that for more than 5-10 seconds before having major equiptment failures. I take my hat off to the very few people that can do it. I have seen it done several time in person and was even lucky enough to get to sit in Bob Perillo's van for a 161db bassrace run. I would love to see you try and build it but start at 149.9 and learn. Im not trying to bash on you im just trying to put your feet back on the ground ;)

This thread is the equivalent to a newbie saying "I spent all my money on JL, I'm the best" ... This guy isn't even asking legit questions about HOW to build this "159.9" Bass racer ... he just threw up the number.

It's child's play, so why do you guys fall for it every - single - time.

Yuli is right, the thread needs to be closed because it isn't going anywhere.
Ask what type of power you require or how many batteries or what type of suspension is needed ... ask THOSE questions ... then maybe someone would believe you.

I just peaked on TermPro and noticed that the second loudest bassracer is DB Don at 155.4

This is somewhat a completely different story. 4 "Entry level" subs. 14K of power. I think 6 16V batteries.

This is all in a regular ported wall, however the floor and roof are built. Goes to show how much more there is to getting up there.

what if you fell in dog the day before, I'm sure stepping in it would be a welcome surprise

Its funny how no body will say anything to the almighty Yuli, but when Jalat says something... BAM! everyone wants a piece of my ass.

I take it as a compliment.

yo f*ck a jalat. hey when are we gonna start our 79.9 bassracer?

Truck will be bagged on Re8's front and rear so suspension is taken care of. I will most likely add 2 more transport alts (one in there now) dedicated to a 16v setup in the bed. I know I'll need at least 1-2k per driver depending on drivers. As for batteries i think i will need at least 16-8volts to even get me close. If inhad questions about suspension, electrical or batteries I would have asked.

Dude... we need pics.. Geter done!! What amps/ subwoofers you thinking of running? Shoot for the 155's for bassrace... you'll feel nauscious even after sitting that for 30seconds...

Good Luck

Well 155 was VERY conservative score lol, I think I told you the real score before. The twins were demoing the system all day beating on those entry level woofers for hours. It was around 11kw as measured buy Murilio.

Now to the question of doing 159.9 Bass Race. First off, it is possible but everyones idea of a budget is different. Theres many kind of Bace racers from extreme bass racers you see in Finland to the absolute groundpounders who peak below 50hz here in North america.

An extreme bass racer would be the most efficient and cost effective way to do 159.9 but then your score is done with a bit higher note which kinda kills the demo ability.

I would say if you wanted to do what Clay and myself are doing as far as cabin builds etc... you can get away with $10k-$15k plus the vehicle cost. It can be cheaper but then your gonna be building more into the extreme aspect and using a bit higher notes to save on power.

Anyone who wants help with a vehicle just needs to email and I can help as much as email allows me too.

Hire dB Don consulting inc.

And buy a cheap van like this

And a great deal on amps would be good too. Hint
