Now I have to admit, that my TFOnes have taken a beating. I've even heated them up a few times and they still sound as perfect as the first time I installed them. I've easily beat them with over twice their rated power and they are flawless in daily ground pounding.

I'm up to over 151db now, in the back of a family minivan, lol. I would however be willing to try any drop in test, should someone be willing to up a couple 15's for testing.

I will say one thing though... of the 20 years that I've owned subs... TFOnes have been the best. Even though they are no JL W6v2 in terms of SQ they do sound very decent for getting as loud as they do and kill it in terms of power handling.

I love them, but might be willing to try something new.... I've never ran AB HD subs, therefore I can't comment, but TFOnes have hit #'s for me, that I couldn't do with others. Hell, after getting my TL, I had one 15" TFOne louder than all 3 of my 12" JLW6v2's.

...and for the record, I'm not taking sides here... just stating fact from experience. Would AB HD's be louder in a drop in test?? I do know that AB was louder in a drop in test against Fi BTL fully loaded by almost 2db but part of that was due to AB being dual .7 and Fi being dual 1's.
didnt he make a few changes though?

there good for numbers... i dont know about LOW tuned daily applications

The subs your friend has are custom made VFL subs. The motor was in production for 1 year only and are very rare. The proven fact is that ABHD recones are alot stronger and better then TF1 recones and parts. Just wait and see the new recone kit comming for the HD sub 2 versions will be available with either copper or alluminum coils.

What are you talking about Derrik or Dylan what sub are you talking about. The hd either by Americanbass or TF1 was made as a daily sub. The guys that used just got lucky and they worked in a spl application. They dont like to play in high freq thats why they work good in crx and lower tuned vehicles.

I'm going to try 90 deg bend (36hz) side loading, BIG *** flare on the 6 cube and 8 cube boxes. See what I can do to lower tuning a little for the winter.

Lord knows, I sure don't need it this loud for daily. lol Might as well, tune a lil lower.
