Its unfortunate that some ppl feel this way. Its out of our control how much is charged to get into the facility.

 

I don't think people realize how big this show is going to be.
Checkout the drift sites even just for what they're saying alone. This is a multi-show car show, for real ...
I booked the entire day off and I plan to be there all day ... 10 am to 8pm.
After I'm done with seeing the audio competiton, I'm going to see everything else.

Besides the drift, they're saying there's exotics, "Battle of the Car Clubs" which basically means other cars (no?) and bikini contest/raffles type of thing ...
Sounds like an event like Importfest but busier and better (IMO).

And the entrance fee is foreign to me. Though I've never personally gone the past 2 years, my sister has and she's never paid. And she's not 12. So I'm not quite sure how she's sliding in there, or why its $25 (or $20 for students) to get in but honestly, $25 for an afternoon of seeing everything.

It's not $25 to watch a DB Drag, you guys have to think out of the box here.

Edit: Don said it best above me ... this is seriously the biggest show and shine / car show Ontario has seen for the year. Like I said, I booked the whole day off. And I wasn't even going to go to the Brampton show to be honest with you.

Side Note:
Does "Canadian Car Audio" plan to advertise at this event? Is there not a website banner that can go up at the event?

This is potentially the most exposure for an event I've seen all year, even with it only being a 1x. It's because of all the OTHER PEOPLE that will be at this event (and I'm thinking spectators, we'll have to see) that will really make this interesting.
If I was this site, I'd spend $100 on a banner (or wish they already had) and make sure it's up at the show. I'd say handouts too but that's pushing it.
It's just an idea I'd seriously consider. So to those that run this place ...

 

I think the issue here is that people might only want to see the SPL stuff, like myself, so the rest of the show is irrelevant. Good idea to have it there, but I don't think its gonna be worth the extra 100 bucks to bring my friends, so unless I come alone I don't know if I'm gonna make it.

the show isnt going to be that big, unless u never seen rice rockets before u wont see ANYTHING new at this show.

the spl part is gonna be small as hell with weak numbers.

should have taken it back to Kjohn to be a nite show with lights, etc. now it's just a $30 1x db drag? gotta be joking.

I don't think we should give up on the night show thing, because that was a hot idea IMO ...
However, I think for the sake of this venue and the hundreds/thousands of people that will show up for the drifting competition, its worth while.

And personally, I like the idea of the $5 mic for everyone, all day.
If word gets around on that, that could be a success as well (IMO).

Heck, for $5 I'd like to mic a STOCK radio just to see what it does. And quite honestly, I just might. Watch out for the Jetta, stock
And honestly, it's stup!dity JUST LIKE THIS that's going to get $5 here, $5 there ... next thing you know, you got a lot of $5's.

But at the end of the day, who knows. This will probably be thrown in some corner of Downsview so ... I guess we'll have to see.

Side Note: I agree about the lack of big numbers. Really, I think we could almost call this a "First" ... Drift and DB Drag at this event.
If this can be a partnership in the future, at least in trying to please "the crowd", I think some big number vehicles could show up. Why wouldn't they?
I thought they got into it for personal satisfaction and public attention. No?
