I do agree that they should have had something......anything....for second and third....keyrings,$5 gift cards,etc,etc...after all,we are talking about a multi-million dollar company. To be honest,I thought they were even a little bit skimpy towards the first place prizes too......

But....being that the only real quirk I have about yesterdays show....Thats not too shabby at all....

Thanks to Visions for putting on a very well organized, and almost seemless show..
Thanks to Ray(FX)for the funky Kicker keyring...
Thanks to Team Rip Rock for the Kicker shirt(really think ya should held onto it...Kicker in the Civic maybe, hmmm???(lol)
Thanks to both of these and to all the other guys who came over and offer a books worth of tips and ideas for trying to get me louder.
And.....
HOLY CRAP RICK!!!WHAT A COMEBACK,DUDE!!!!!!!
Picture this...in the run..Mazda 323 htchbk...hes down by 4.5db(140.?)...3 of us pressing on the hatch...5 seconds left...he stops..I yell"GET OFF!" and at last second "BURP!!"..148.8....A 4.5 DB GAIN AT LAST SECOND TO WIN THE ROUND AND TAKE A SECOND PLACE...UN F***KING REAL!!!!!!!!Good on ya!!!
Thanks to LBKC for helping me get a make due box together night before when on of my Kickers decided to become a fridge magnet..that setup got me second in mini-street..
and last but not least...
Thanks to Jason of Team Xtreme(the Kicker Jimmy) for what had to be THE funniest thing I heard all frickin' day...
"...MY CUP WAS A TROOPER!!!!"LOL LOL LOL..
Anyway....nuff said from me.....talk to ya'll later....
Keep on Thumpin'!!

visions is planing to have trophies next year. i already talked to someone about that problem. they didn't have trophies at the start and they didn't want to start doing it, but next year they said. good show, good turn out also! some old faces poped out too!

kicker would have to offers us a pritty killer deal to run that stuff in our car.

i think 8 track boy should start working on his new box

Thumbs up

The Visions Comp was a really good show. Pretty decent turn out. I was at the House of boom/house of crap show on saturday. Visions did so much better. Some newbies showed up and ran their systems, some even got like 2nd place and such. Lots of fun had by all.

Sounds similar to the prizes at a shop around here called gibby's.. first place last time got $50, a trophy, and a picture/frame of the alpine civic. 2nd got a $25 gift certificate to the store which has extremly overpriced stuff, and the GC cant be used for the competitions , and third gets a $10 GC.. which I'm willing to bet not many people will use.. I mean they charge like $250 for a JL 10w0..

keep in mind, that some of these shows are supported 0% by owners and management sometimes(not the case with visions) and the salesguys/installers putting it on have to rely solely on rep support and entry fees to provide prizes.

no kicker did not offer anything yet. I've never seen so much kicker product at one show!!

cujo nailed it right on the head. but everone should be going to have fun insted of cash or trophies. right?
