Sorry to hear the terrible news..... In all the 25+ years I been in car audio, this is the first time people got into a fatal accident while going to a show. Even though I don't know Brenden & TJ, they are competitors that supports the car audio competition scene. and will truly be missed

Saw it in the evening news...... looks like that Viper does belongs to Egor S, which was the same car that competed at Tim's show last Sept. I'm not sure if that he was at Team Shadow's show earlier that day.....

I'm deeply sadden from this...... my condolense & prayers goes to both partys.

Wow, this is just all too much. My sympathies to Brendan and TJ's families, even though I don't know who those guys are. I had heard in the news about an accident with a semi truck and the other vehicle was so badly damaged the police couldn't figure out a make or model of it at first. Was that the same accident?

And the Viper.....that just happened a few blocks from my office. When I heard about it, I thought right away of the guy that was at Tims show and then this morning I read it was a 38 yr. old guy too. That almost confirms it. He had a nice F#1 setup in there (deck and processor) and a pair of Kicker L7 8" subs in a center console built by Audiolines. Surreal if its the same guy.

The mounties in Burnaby are shocked by a deadly street race on the Lougheed Highway that has left one man dead and several other drivers hurt. A red sports car, possibly a Mercedes and a Black dodge Viper were racing at speeds of about 130 kilometres an hour. The 38 year old man driving the Viper lost control, hit the median and then crashed into three oncoming cars near Holdom Avenue. Igor Shaveyko from Coquitlam died at the scene, while three people in the other vehicles were hurt. Their injuries aren't considered life threatening. Corporal Pierre Lemaitre with Burnaby RCMP was stunned to hear that the speeding driver of the red car was on his cell phone. He says it's ironic how cell phone use while driving at legal speeds has been in the media lately, and now he finds it even more shocking to learn how drivers are using cell phones at such high speeds.

pic of the Viper's wreck from the evening news. you could see the L7 in the center console is pretty messed up.

Wow, so it was indeed the guy at Tims show last year

Reading eye-witness reports on Revscene, it sounds like he tried to change lanes and the car got squirrely on him or he may have mis-shifted and downshifted instead of upshifting causing the rear end to lock up. Either way, he lost control and we all know the rest. RIP Igor.

small world

When I asked one of the guys here at work why the flags were flying at 1/2 mast I was told that it was becouse Brandon used to work here at Fastfreight in poco.
I told them that one of my friends was having decals made up in memory of brandon and TJ they jumped on it .... so there will be a fairly large order for all the truckers and dock hands that want them on their trucks and cars.

SMALL WORLD sigh
